Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) plans strategic capital investments this year that will result in significant improvement of these services at all four airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The latest traffic forecasts for the summer 2023 season for FAB CE states suggest the continuing traffic recovery in Europe will push overall flight numbers above the pre-pandemic levels of 2019 for the first time, but with high levels of volatility when measured on a daily basis.
The 2023 edition of the FAB CE Airspace Plan has now been published.The Plan supports the airspace and capacity conclusions of the European Airspace Architecture Study (EAAS) by identifying optimised airspace solutions and harmonising operational approaches among FAB CE air navigation service providers (ANSPs).
FAB CE is implementing a customised air traffic management environmental dashboard to monitor the environmental performance of aircraft operators in its airspace area in terms of fuel use, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, horizontal and vertical airspace efficiency and continuous descent (CDO) and climb operations (CCO).
FAB CE and FABEC are continuing the series of successful annual InterFAB research workshops with a forum in April 2024 dedicated to predictability and flexibility. These both central aspects in ATM are identified in the ICAO Framework as key performance areas determining the quality of the operational service provided to the civil and military airspace users.
