FAB CE social dialogue forum meets to discuss operational programme and social issues

Tomáš Špavelko, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Letové Prevádzkové Alužby (LPS) and Chairman of the FAB CE CEO Committee (CEOC) chaired a FAB CE social dialogue meeting in late November in Bratislava, discussing operational activities, the impact of inflation on controller salaries and other issues of mutual interest.

The FAB CE work programme was introduced and discussed, including a new approach to FAB CE performance monitoring, the work of the Airspace Task Force (ATF); communication, navigational aid and surveillance (CNS/ATM) system optimisation and new approaches to controller selection criteria and process benchmarking. The number of applications for controller posts is declining in most of the airspace alliance air navigation service providers (ANSPs) and there are some differences in testing phases among ANSPs.

Social partners prepared a draft document summarising the situation related to inflation in relation to ANSP employment contracts; after in-depth and lively discussion it was agreed that a final version of the document will be presented by the social partners to the CEOC.

The next FAB CE social dialogue forum will take place in Bratislava, Slovak Republic in spring 2024.
